Get Tough on Tool Theft: Farnham Labour Backs Campaign

The Farnham and Bordon Labour party has backed a bill to get tough on tool theft.

Labour’s Amanda Martin MP (Portsmouth North) is bringing forward a Private Members Bill which will raise tool theft from a category 3 to category 2 offence. This will let judges hand down tougher sentences for tool thieves by taking account of a loss of earnings.

This is a much-needed effort crack down on thieves and end a nightmare cycle of theft and earning loss for local tradies.

To support the bill, Farnham & Bordon Labour is sharing a petition which will help boost the Portsmouth North MP’s campaign, and encourage MPs to support the private bill.
