Our candidates

Standing up for you in every part of our constituency

Howard Kaye

Farnham North

Howard Kaye
I live locally in Upper Hale so every day I see the shortcomings in local services. I am determined to make a difference to the quality and level of Council provision within North Farnham. I will challenge the budget cuts which have so severely affected the services on which we all depend - education, fire and rescue, roads and transport and services like social care for children and vulnerable adults. We need all levels of local government to work together to get the best value for the residents of North Farnham.

Farnham Central

John Gaskell
I have lived in Weybourne, Farnham for over twenty years. In my career in IT in Holland, Belgium, and the UK, I have seen how successful infrastructure projects can work if local people are properly involved. I believe we should also look at best practice outside the locality before implementing anything new, large or small. Our services have been neglected for years, and need rebuilding. We need all levels of local government to work together to get the best value for the residents of Farnham.
Sam Pritchard

Farnham South

Sam Pritchard
I have lived in Farnham nearly my whole life. I am the father of two children, the husband of a self-employed person, a patient using local healthcare facilities, a resident of council housing and, most importantly, a person who listens, cares and strives for a healthier and safer community. A vote for me is a vote for a local man on a mission to better our community, improve infrastructure, prevent unnecessary building, improve our terrible roads and help deliver fairer funding for local schools and community projects. Feel free to contact me. I would love to hear your views.
Alex Howey

Haslemere

Alex Howey
I am standing for the upcoming local election in Haslemere. Having lived in the area for nearly two decades, I understand the problems that people here face. From difficulties with public transport, the pressures faced by small businesses, to the potholes in the road that neither the Liberal Democrats nor the Conservatives have fixed, I am here to be a new alternative for you. I will work to represent you and this great area, and a vote for me is one that counts.
Diana Lovelock

Liphook, Headley & Grayshott, including Arford, Bramshott, Headley Down, Passfield, and Weavers Down

Diana Lovelock

I have lived in Grayshott for 30 years and my children went to Grayshott School, Bohunt and Alton College. After several years in catering management, I worked for 28 years in local primary schools as a Business Manager and have a lot of experience in Surrey and West Sussex school funding.

I’m passionate about state education. I also believe in social housing and public transport that are fit purpose. I would like NHS dentistry to be available to all.

I retired in 2024 and I volunteer with Liberty Choir and Sue Ryder shops.

Andrew Jones

Waverley Western Villages, including Beacon Hill, Churt, Elstead, Frensham, Hindhead, Rushmoor, and Thursley

Andrew Jones
I’m standing for election as your Labour Councillor representing the Waverley Western Villages on the new West Surrey unitary council. I’m an experienced parish councillor and have lived in and around this area for my whole life. My key priorities are to encourage and enhance community support for the more vulnerable members of our society; to gain extra support for small village schools threatened with closure; regain control of planning in this area so that we can deliver genuinely affordable homes for local people and resist unsympathetic overdevelopment; and to focus on our own traffic problems in the villages rather than just on Farnham town centre, and tackle the congestion, nuisance and pollution

Whitehill, Bordon & Lindford

Dave Hedley
I have been an engineering consultant since the mid 1980s, initially specialising in Reliability and Safety analyses and more recently supporting the costing of large government programmes, mainly working on Value for Money cases and the forecasting of project costs and risks. I have lived in Lindford since 2007 with my partner and step son. The new sub-divided Hampshire will face challenges in social care, in education and in roads and transport among many others. I’m looking forward to representing your views on these issues and more. Please elect me so I can tackle your concerns.

Chris Waters

Communications & Social Media
Chris was born and raised in Elstead, and now lives in Churt. His family were the proud owners of Orchard Barn Cafe in Churt. He works on the parliamentary team of a Labour MP, and his areas of policy interest are education, housing, and the arts.

Michelle Birchwood

Trade Union Liaison Officer
Michelle moved to Farnham to raise her children in a beautiful, safe place with fantastic schools. But too often local problems such as sewage dumping and facilities for children and young people have not received the support they deserve. Michelle has a deep knowledge of parliamentary affairs which she brings to bear on local issues.
