Our People

John Gaskell

Chair
John has lived in Weybourne, Farnham for over twenty years. In his career in IT in Holland, Belgium, and the UK, John has seen how successful infrastructure projects can work if local people are properly involved. He believes we should look at best practice outside the locality before implementing anything new, large or small.

Geraldine Sheedy

Secretary
Geraldine moved to Liphook from Elstead in September 2021. She has an adult daughter, two dogs and enjoys singing in a local choir/drama group. She qualified as a nurse in 1984 and has worked in the NHS and the voluntary sector. Geraldine is currently part of the senior leadership team at a local children’s hospice charity. She sees on a daily basis how the cost-of-living crisis has adversely affected families who have a child who is sick or disabled.

Tony Dunne

vice chair
Tony, a Farnham resident since 2017, believes good business and strong employment relations go hand in hand—something free-market capitalism has undermined, widening inequality. His success as an investment manager and Chartered Financial Planner aligns with his commitment to socialism, as the growing disconnect between capital and society fuels today’s challenges. He advocates for fair wages and proportional business rewards, ensuring benefits extend beyond investors and shareholders. A sustainable economy requires a fairer balance between consumers, employees, and business owners. Greater societal mobility—not trickle-down myths—drives real progress. We need the brightest minds working for all, not just a privileged few.

Diana Lovelock

Treasurer
Diana grew up in Merseyside and moved to Islington and then Hackney. She worked in Hotel and Catering management and the West End and the City of London . A change of career after moving to Grayshott in 1996 led to 27 years working in Farnham and then Petworth as a School Business Manager She retired in 2024.
